Our roots are in the forests of Vidzeme
The RAIRU story is a testament to the power of collaboration and dedication. It began 25 years ago in Vidzeme, when two families combined their knowledge, strength, and resources to do what they do best – care for Latvia’s forests. We aim to ensure the forest grows strong and healthy while people responsibly and wisely harness its full potential.
On November 10, 1999, two friends, Kaspars Raipalis and Juris Rudītis, founded RAIRU. Over time, it has become a leader in the forestry sector and a model for many others. The company employs more than 120 people; what we create together is more than work – it’s our passion.

Our team consists of over 120 employees, including forestry technicians and forest equipment operators who manage more than 60 different types of professional forest machinery such as harvesters and forwarders, along with over 20 heavy trucks. Our technical personnel team includes welders, turners, sharpeners, mechanics, and procurement specialists.

RAIRU’s many years of work have resulted in a reputation as a reliable and responsible forestry partner, with long-term cooperation with A/S Latvijas valsts meži and other companies. Our achievements are also recognized through our participation in the SRS in-depth cooperation program “SILVER,” and we are highly rated in the Taxpayer Rating (“A” Level). RAIRU is actively involved in developing Latvia’s forestry sector and is a member of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We proudly stand as an honest taxpayer and a growth-oriented company with satisfied customers and long-term partners in Latvia and across Europe.
